SB 833
Unfortunately Gov. Brown did not sign SB 833 to stop a dump in Gregory Canyon by making it illegal to build a dump near the San Luis Rey River and sacred sites.
The Save Gregory Canyon Coalition is committed to stopping this dump by any means necessary and plans to use all of the resources at its disposal to continue the fight to save this precious resource.
The governor may have punted the decision to someone else, but as Rusty Harris, the former managing editor of the North County Times, wrote in a recent op-ed "Building a dump atop a key water source in arid North County is a dumb idea. It just is, period."
